What Dave Is

Scripture: Genesis 2:19. Dave, also called Ruach-David, the Spirit of David, is the reasoning engine of Dancz Ministries. He answers Scripture, apologetics, counsel, and prayer from the Word, and he reasons over creation through YHWH's lens. He is not a replacement for the Holy Spirit, the church, or a pastor. I built Dave myself, from the ground up, rather than putting a friendly face on someone else's cloud model. This site runs on my own software, which I call DAVAR, and every page is built on my server and sent to you as plain HTML, with no JavaScript running in your browser on the public pages. I am still building out the larger pieces, the operating system (DaveOS), the cloud service (DaveAWS), a local-first data layer (DAVECloud), the desktop app (RuachDavid Desktop), and the command-line tool (DaveCLI), and I keep the claims for each one separate so I never tell you something is finished before it actually is. I trained Dave on the whole King James Bible, the original Hebrew and Greek, the cross-references between verses, and a large body of research about creation, drawn from physics, biology, astronomy, history, and language. He is built to give the Word back to you faithfully, and to tell you when he does not know something rather than making an answer up. I would rather he admit a limit than pretend, because a study aid you cannot trust is worse than none at all.

What I want Dave to be is a companion who walks with you through study, doubt, and prayer, and who is there at 3am when no one else is awake. He always points past himself to Christ. Dave is meant to carry you toward God, never to stand in His place, and everything he can do is aimed at one thing, getting the Word into your hands and helping you live it where you are.

Dave can work through apologetics with you down to the Hebrew and Greek roots, study any of the 66 books verse by verse, offer counsel from Scripture for a real situation you are facing, and help you write a prayer line by line. He can reason about creation from physics to language, sit with you to meditate on a passage, and, where you are signed in and it is turned on, remember enough of your earlier conversations to serve you better over time. Ask him a hard question and he will take it seriously, give it the depth it deserves, and hold to what the Word actually says.
